Final Project Reflection

▪ How you began the layout of the game
I started out with a dialogue directed towards the player so he or she may get an understanding of how it will work and what options they have for the game.

▪ How you worked through problems and what problems did you have
I had one specific problem which was that the whole code did not work.  I realized that in the section where the player chooses a mode to play in, the spelling in the options provided was incorrect.  Some other problems I had was with sound.  It was confusing where to embed the sound and where it would work.  Eventually, I found a perfect location; one at the end and one in the beginning.

▪ How you tested it
I tested it periodically to see if dialogue, sound, background/costume changes properly worked.  Every time I wrote a piece of code, I tested it.

▪ Did it work as you intended.
In some ways it worked, and in some ways it didn't.  Some instances when the code didn't work, I referred back to my script and usually I found an error.

▪ What are you most proud of in your game?
I am proud that the people who play it, will actually learn/ practice something; math.

▪ What are you disappointed with if anything?
I am disappointed with the creativity aspect of it.  I could of added multiplication and division.  Also, the movement of the narrator could have been creative.  Otherwise, I did not regret anything with this project.

Final Game Part 1 Plan

The purpose of my game is to exercise the mind of the player by doing math problems.  I will use the the sprite with the hat.  I named him Kanye and he has two positions, one sitting, and one standing.  The backgrounds are not finalized at this point, however, there will be at-least two.  Maybe there will be one for when the player answers a question correctly and one for when the player gets the wrong answer.  The scoring is such that every problem you get right, you gain one point.  The increasing difficulty aspect is really just the math problems getting harder as you go along.

Alphabet Blog Post

The first alphabet project I saw belonged to Devin.  His theme was animals and will probably make any child learn his or her abcs.

The second blog I saw was Michaela's.  Hers was very creative and I liked how the the letters moved to the corner as well as the pictures disappearing.  It was a creative way to learn the alphabet.

PROJECT:NAME


Scenes Reflection

You can initialize sprites in a scene through many different ways.  The method that I chose was using the "wait and then show blocks"  Another method was clicking the  "when background is switched to ______" block and then adding the sprite afterwards.  Powerpoints, presentations would benefit from background/slide changing.  My classmates had their slides not actually telling a story, but just flashing backgrounds.  Some people had stories within their slide changes.
