Why computers use Binary Video (321)

Things I learned:

-Analog Signal:A signal that is proportional to the value it represents

-Digital Signal: A signal that represents a  value as a series of discreet values or digits

-Base Numerals: Representing a  number using "n" digits

Things I didn't understand:
-The analog systems was confusing
-I did not understand how the sound waves worked when this topic was applied to the speaker of cell phones

Something I want to learn:
-I want to learn sound wave frequencies and how to separate them from each other.

Eliza Post

1.  She was human like in the sense that she responded.
2.  I would change her code through a program and enter more questions in responses in her "memory"
3.  Computers are nothing without human intervention and programming.
4.  Yes, in someways because it provides knowledge to us humans.  However, it will never have opinions and feelings.

GOOGLE

1.  The two CEO s both found a need and conquered it.  The need was a better search engine that was reliable.  Larry Paige and Sergey Brin founded Google which made it possible to find content easily.

2.  Funding and resources were necessary and the CEOs did not have enough of that.

3.  The key is to be innovative and produce something different than the rest of the crowd.

4.  They use the information on the internet and your key words to produce a search result.

What I've Learned

  • Mathematics is highly involved in these patterns
  • There is a lot of South American and African influence on carpet and patterns today
  • The patterns were angle specific
  • Symmetry, reflection, asymmetry, dilation, translation, and rotation are mainly scene in the art
  • I learned a lot about reflections and enjoyed practicing them by graphing them myself.

Transformational Geometry and Iteration in Mangbetu Art

Mangbetu Art shows reflections, translations, rotations, and scaling designs.  The textiles made "are purely abstract designs that make use of multiples of 45 degrees."  This art shows the intelligence of the artist.
This type of art was carved using the 45 degree technique.  Each head is larger than the one below it and faces the opposite direction.
