Cultural Backround

1.Native American bead work is well known for is beauty.  
2. Math will be a key concept used in this lesson especially linear math.  
3. Four fold symmetry is used in these designs.
4.The left side of the image is completely identical to the right side. 
5.Embroidery, Plains Indians, Pawnee Buffalo Hide Drum, Navajo rug
6. It is when the left side and right side of the image are completely identical.  
7. The tepee is made of four base pairs.  
 8.They are used in healing ceremonies.  An example is the medicine man healing the forces of nature by making sand paintings 
9. Reflection symmetry was widely used.  In the picture, a coat is present with the origin of the axes below the belly.
10. They are depicted in rows and columns which in math are the "x" and "y" axes. 
11. It was created before the Europeans arrived. 
12. Some examples of this bead work were used in recording messages and history.

Communication

My main choice of communication is verbal contact.  In my opinion, whatever message I send will hopefully not be misinterpreted.  I think that texting social networking may not convey the message clearly and concise as one may want which is why verbal communication is the best.

While searching for the items on the sheet, one of my strengths were how fast I could get the answer.  I think I could improve in the accuracy of my answers as well as actually reading the content instead of skimming it.

Intro to myself

Hi, my name is Ali and I am a sophomore at RMHS.  I am VP of Model UN, team member of Robotics, and a tutor at my local middle school.  I enjoy photography, traveling, and rock climbing.  I am an intern at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.  I am looking towards a pre-med career.
